Despite the sarcastic facade of giving up their morals for a pint of ice cream Pissed Jeans have put in decades of work making seriously unserious sludge/hardcore/noise lamenting living America's hyper capitalistic core. While some band's are doing high level critiques on how living in the "winner take all" socioeconomic system has killed the world, Pissed Jeans takes a Shaun of the Living dead view on the mundanity of the end times. Half-Divorced is filled with songs about the ego of moms and dads having kids for the wrong reason, 'Helicopter Parent', living with endless debt, 'Sixty-Two Thousand Dollars in Debt', and basic run ins with crime '(Stolen) Catalytic Converter'. Best in class hardcore songs that circle pit back to Jeans basic manifesto summed off in the one off single that pre-dated the album a couple of months, 'No Convenient Apocalypse', "There's no simple armageddon, no easy way out.” High Points: the doomy bassline that runs underneath 'Helicopter Parent' that leaves just a bit of spittle spit on your face
